Horcrux College, an anime-style RPG game, is currently in the process of recruiting Closed Beta Testers for the English server. The game is set to be available for download and testing from December 1, 2023, until December 10, 2023. Initially released in Japan on April 16, 2020, the Japanese version of Horcrux College ceased operations on June 16, 2022.
Horcrux College presents a 2D side-scrolling brawler game enriched with visual novel elements and a touch of role-playing. The game incorporates gacha mechanics, akin to other gacha games, allowing players to recruit additional allies or characters to their roster. With a cast featuring well-known voice actors and skilled artists from Japan, the game weaves together a compelling fusion of sci-fi and technology. It also offers flexible customization and upgradability.
Set in the year 2048, Horcrux College unfolds against the backdrop of advanced artificial intelligence integrated into everyday life. However, the sudden emergence of the XMAS virus disrupts this harmony, confusing AI directives and triggering autonomous attacks against humans.
Recognizing that direct confrontation is necessary to quell the chaos caused by AI instability, humanity bands together from all corners. In the midst of this turmoil, a formidable squad of students from Horcrux Academy emerges. Their strength matches their striking appearance, coupled with exceptional fighting skills and a keen sense of smell, making them a formidable force in intense battles.
