Defense Derby is a new real-time strategy defense mobile game from Krafton’s independent studio, RisingWings. Players will have access to the game through Google Play, Apple’s App Store, and Samsung’s Galaxy Store.
Defense Derby injects a breath of fresh energy into the tower defense genre by offering intense 4-player PvP battles. In these battles, players must employ clever strategies, mind games, and powerful synergy effects to gain the upper hand. The game starts with a “scouting stage,” where participants engage in bidding wars to recruit units and form their squads.
The strategic placement of units within their castles plays a vital role, as it determines their ability to utilize unique strengths and fend off waves of attacking monsters. The last player standing, with an intact castle, will emerge victorious and claim the title of winner. Defense Derby introduces an innovative gameplay element called Betting Royale, which combines unit scouting and bidding battles.
During the soft launch in six countries, including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, Canada, and Hong Kong, Defense Derby received positive feedback from players. The game is set to launch in over 190 countries worldwide, supporting nine different languages, including Korean, English, Japanese, Thai, Indonesian, Malay, Portuguese, and Chinese (Simplified/Traditional). To celebrate the official release, the game will introduce a fresh ‘Quest Mode’ along with improved Friendly Derby and spectator features.
