Strange Horticulture
Description
Bad Viking Games and Iceberg Interactive’s occult puzzler, Strange Horticulture, is set to make its debut on iOS and Android as a premium release through Plug in Digital Games. Initially launching on PC in 2022, followed by ports to Switch and macOS, and later on Xbox platforms last year, the game is now making its way to mobile platforms in the upcoming months.
Assuming the release date on the App Store page is accurate, Strange Horticulture has players stepping into the role of a plant store proprietor, engaging in activities such as identifying plants, joining a cult, and conversing with a coven. The game presents its own set of mysteries within its occult-themed puzzles, complemented by an appealing aesthetic.
Venture beyond your store to explore new plants, but exercise caution, as the dark woods and lakes may not always be friendly. Uncover powers beyond imagination or risk losing your sanity. Context clues guide your decisions on which places to visit and which to avoid.
Equipped with a trusty encyclopedia and clues from your explorations, you delve into the world of strange plants. Identifying each plant allows you to harness their effects, influencing the story with everything from hypnotic hallucinogens to powerful poisons.
The mobile version of Strange Horticulture has been reworked to provide an optimal experience on phones and tablets, ensuring the “greatest settings” for players. The App Store lists the release date as March 26th, and if all goes according to plan, this should be the final date. The game is available for pre-order on the App Store for iOS and pre-registration on Google Play for Android. While it is priced at $4.99 on the App Store, the Steam version is currently priced at $14.99.
