New “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure” mobile game planned for 2025

Updated: March 18, 2024

Yes! Finally! We got information about a new mobile game based on the immensely popular anime series, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. This new game is currently in development and slated for release in 2025. The Japanese company gumi Inc. has secured the rights to distribute this game for mobile devices within its home country.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure stands as one of the best-selling manga series of all time, with a rich narrative spanning generations of the Joestar family, from the late 19th century to modern times, as depicted in the acclaimed TV series.

Well, how good is Gumi? With gumi’s impressive track record in mobile game development, having worked on renowned titles such as The Alchemist Code and co-developed Square Enix’s Final Fantasy Brave Exvius franchise, expectations for this adaptation are high.

We don’t know so much about the game, like the specific genre. But I personally expect a turn-based RPG format, prevalent in many adaptations. I would love to see a game like Black Clover Mobile or Saint Seiya Kotz but in the Jojo Universe.

The game is currently in active development at gumi, with a target release year of 2025, although an exact date has yet to be confirmed. While gumi holds the domestic distribution rights, it’s expected that a global launch will follow suit, considering the franchise’s international popularity.
