Saint Seiya Awakening: Knights of the Zodiac is basically a PvP game with gacha mechanics and RPG elements. Gameplay revolves around turn-based combat enhanced by collectible card mechanics. Players summon Saints, upgrade their abilities, and form squads to take on PvE story missions, PvP duels, and guild matches. The game emphasizes strategy, as synergy between Saints. Regular updates introduce new Saints, skins, and events (some).

Currently, Saint Seiya Awakening is fully released and actively maintained with seasonal events and balance patches. The game first launched in China in 2018, followed by a global release in September 2019. It is available in multiple regions including Asia, Europe, North America, and Latin America, with localized versions supporting several languages. The game can be played on iOS and Android platforms, accessible via the App Store and Google Play.

The game has a gacha system for obtaining characters. You must accumulate “summon gems” and use them on banners that come with new or repeated characters. Each character has a set of unique skills, fulfilling specific roles and different uses.

Characters have different rarity types: SS, EX, S, A, B, and C. SS and EX are the most exclusive, although the summoning system has a fixed rate (different for each rarity), but in the end, they are not that difficult to obtain (thanks to the pity system) and level up, specially once you have some time into the game.
