Review

Cancer Sage
Cancer Saga is an interesting character who is somewhat complicated to use. He is one of those units known as “tech.” He can revive allies, and if the conditions are right, he can control the entire opposing lineup, preventing them from taking their turn and applying strong debuffs to enemy units. However, he must meet many conditions. At the start of her turn, she summons a ghost that must level up or use its abilities to debuff enemies, so... she's a character where you have to decide which route to take. She's a bit difficult to use in a meta where we have units that act on their own. Does she have potential? Yes, a lot. But her learning curve is complicated. I don't recommend building her unless you have a strong knowledge of the game. She's not for beginners, but she's also not seen at the highest level, Jamir.

Pros

  • Strong Debuffer
  • Can control a whole lineup
  • Has good support skills, like revive

Skill Descriptions

Skill 1

Praesepe Demonic Blue Flames

Deals 70%/80%/90%/100%/110% C.DMG to an enemy Saint and gains 10 points of Praesepe.

Skill 2

Praesepe Underworld Waves

When targeting Praesepe Phantom: Instantly upgrade Praesepe Phantom by one level and allow it to take an immediate action. If Praesepe Phantom cannot be upgraded, gain 100 points of Praesepe instead. When targeting a fallen ally: Instantly revive the ally with 25%/30%/35%/40%/50% of their maximum HP (al level 5 the allie can take an immediate action). Praesepe Phantom's level will be reduced based on how many turns the ally has been dead. This skill will only display revivable characters based on the Praesepe Phantom's current level.

Skill 3

Praesepe Soul Burial Waves

Sage applies a Yomotsu mark to an enemy Saint. Only one Yomotsu mark can exist on the same enemy Saint. Reduces the marked enemy's C.DMG Res and P.DMG Res by 10%/15%/20%/25%/30%. After being attacked 10/9/8/7/6 times, the Yomotsu mark disappears, and the Saint is forcibly exiled to Yomotsu Hirasaka for one action turn. The Saint receieves a 50% healing reduction debuff. In addition, their HP can't be healed above 70% / 50% (skill lvl 4-5) of their maximum. This effect persists for 2 turns. The Saint is immune to all status effects. When their next action turn ends, they return to the field in the same state as when they entered Yomotsu Hirasaka. When Praesepe Phantom attacks an enemy Saint with a Yomotsu mark, it additionally reduces the required attack count by an amount equal to Praesepe Phantom's level.

Skill 4

Soul Net

Summons Praesepe Phantom at the start of action. When Praesepe Phantom exists, gain 20/25/30/35/40 points of Praesepe (Skill lvl 5: While in level 3 Praesepe Phanton state, when Sage would receive fatal damage, instantly drops one level and negates that damage). Any Saint being attacked also grants 5 points of Praesepe. When Praesepe reaches 100 points, it is immediately consumed to upgrade Praesepe Phantom's level. Level 0: Can only use basic attacks.Level 1: Attacks apply one stack of Entanglement to enemies. Level 2: Attacks apply two stacks of Entanglement to enemies. Level 3: Attacks apply two stacks of Entanglement to enemies; when leaving this level, applies 1 stack of Entanglement to all enemy Saints. When triggering an upgrade after Level 3, instantly restores Praesepe Phantom's HP to full and applies one stack of Entanglement to all enemy Saints. After Praesepe Phantom dies, it revives with its level reduced by one, but not below Level 0. Entanglement: Each stack randomly locks one enemy skill, preventing its use. Does not lock the same skill twice. This effect lasts for one action turn. Reapplying refreshes the duration of Entanglement.
