Review

Apollo

Apollo is perhaps the best control unit in the game. His “Blind” skill affects the entire opposing team, and with a 50% chance of activation, prevents the opponent from executing their move, but causes them to waste their turn and energy. Apollo has a very strong AoE control skill which only costs 1 energy point. However, to take advantage of it, Apollo must be the first to move, which means we need him to be very fast.

Being fast is normal for controls in the game, and Apollo being the most powerful control, you will have to invest heavily in cosmos, or otherwise, carry a unit like Defteros to speed him up. But Apollo also does damage, a lot of damage if the conditions are right. When he gets out of his chariot, he can activate all his burns, buff himself both offensively and defensively, and his basic attack can reduce the opponent's attack. Overall, he is an overly powerful unit if built correctly, but that also means entering the race for who is fastest.

Skill Descriptions

Skill 1

Memory Erased | Solar Might

[Memory Erased] Deals 50%/60%/70%/80%/90% C.DMG to a single target and reduces their speed by 4/8%/12%/16%/20% and damage by 4%/8%/12%/16%/20%. When applying this effect, reduces their speed by an extra 4% and damage by an extra 3% for each stack of Burn on them. [Solar Might]: Deals 90%/95%/100%/110%/120% C.DMG to a single target. Applies one stack of Burn, dealing 80%/85%/90%/100%/110% C.DMG each turn and lasting for two combat turns. If the enemy has Burn stacks, consumes [Light Flame] equal to the stacks of Burn and makes each stack of Burn take effect immediately. Then, adds one stack of Burn and refreshes all Burn duration on all enemies.

Skill 2

Radiant Light | Scorching Sun Flame

[Radiant Light]: Deals 40%/50%/60%/70%/80% C.DMG to all enemies and applies one stack of [Burn], refreshing Burn duration on all enemies and applying one stack of [Blind] to all enemy Saints. All enemies with [Blind] will have a 10%/20%/30%/40%/50% chance to miss when attacking, and missed skills and basic attacks do not take effect. This effect lasts for one round and can be purified. [Scorching Sun Flame]: Deals 210% C.DMG to all enemies. For every six stacks of [Light Flame), applies one stack of [Burn] to the enemies. For each applied [Burn], increases total damage of the skill by 90%.

Skill 3

Chariot of Helios | Mounted

[Chariot of Helios]: When the battle starts, Apollo enters the [Chariot of Helios] status, whereby Apollo takes 35%/40%/45%/50%/55% less damage and turns the allied field into [Trail of Helios]. Any enemy attacking Saints in this field will be inflicted with a stack of Burn and has a 20%/30%/40%/50%/60% chance to get another stack of Burn. For each stack of Burn and Blind on the Saint, increases the chance by 10%. The Burn damage comes from Apollo, dealing /70%/80%/90%/100%/110% C.DMG each turn for two action turns. Upon using this skill, Apollo will enter [Mounted] status and switch to the corresponding skill set. [Mounted]: Upon entering the [Mounted] status, Apollo will ride the Chariot of Helios to detonate and clear all Burn effects on all enemies, dealing 140% C.DMG for each stack of Burn. For each detonated Burn, Apollo gains one stack of stackable [Light Flame), turns the field into [Blazing Light Throne], and immediately gains one action turn. Upon using this skill, Apollo will enter [Chariot of Helios] status and switch to the corresponding skill set. Field Status: Ignite the enemy's Energy. When Battle Attrib they consume Energy, Apollo will consume equal [Light Flame), dealing 110% C.DMG immediately and applying 1 stack of Burn. When [Light Flame] does not meet the consumption demand, the pursuit effect will not be applied.

Skill 4

Blazing Ride | Blazing Star

[Blazing Ride]: Apollo is immune to control effects in this state. All attacks on Apollo grant him one stack of [Godspeed], each stack providing 1%/2%/3%/4%/5% DMG Reduction. When Apollo triggers an extra action, clears all [Godspeed] stacks. If the enemy attack triggers the Burn effect of [Trail of Helios), gains one extra stack of [Godspeed). When Apollo has 8 stacks of [Godspeed), acts immediately and clears all [Godspeed] stacks. Apollo will not gain [Godspeed] in the round where he has gained an extra action. [Blazing Star]: [Light Flame] provides Apollo with a C.ATK Bonus equal to its stacks x10%. In the [Mounted] status, Apollo is immune to control. When an enemy with Burn takes action, Apollo gains one stack of [Light Flame). After Apollo gains 8 stacks of [Light Flame] from this passive effect in one round, deals C.DMG equal to 70% x [Burn] Stacks to all Saints with [Burn].
