Apollo is perhaps the best control unit in the game. His “Blind” skill affects the entire opposing team, and with a 50% chance of activation, prevents the opponent from executing their move, but causes them to waste their turn and energy. Apollo has a very strong AoE control skill which only costs 1 energy point. However, to take advantage of it, Apollo must be the first to move, which means we need him to be very fast.
Being fast is normal for controls in the game, and Apollo being the most powerful control, you will have to invest heavily in cosmos, or otherwise, carry a unit like Defteros to speed him up. But Apollo also does damage, a lot of damage if the conditions are right. When he gets out of his chariot, he can activate all his burns, buff himself both offensively and defensively, and his basic attack can reduce the opponent's attack. Overall, he is an overly powerful unit if built correctly, but that also means entering the race for who is fastest.
