Zenless Zone Zero has unveiled its second closed beta test, and registrations are now open on their official website. This move follows China’s approval of licenses for 87 games in October 2023, including Zenless Zone Zero, signaling an accelerated development pace for the game.
Developed by HoYoverse, Zenless Zone Zero is an upcoming futuristic urban fantasy ARPG shooter featuring anime-themed visuals. It was first introduced in May 2022 and is set in a post-apocalyptic metropolis. Players step into the shoes of a Proxy, a character entrusted with aiding others in their exploration of the treacherous alternate dimensions called Hollows.
The developers have revealed that the forthcoming beta test will bring a host of updates to the game, including new storylines and uncharted locations. The new story chapter revolves around Belobog Heavy Industries, one of the major factions in the game. Additionally, players can expect to encounter new playable characters, overhauled combat mechanics, and a fully refined city with interactive urban gameplay.
Starting from today, November 4th, 2023, those eager to participate in the second closed beta on both PC and mobile platforms can register via the official website. Once registered, completing a survey is necessary, and if you meet the criteria for participation, you will receive an email notification with further instructions. The specific date and comprehensive schedule for the closed beta will be provided at a later stage.
